Stress, Depression, & Anxiety

Float tanks allow the body to enter into a deep state of relaxation. In this state the stress hormone cortisol is reduced and the endorphins such as dopamine and serotonin are increased. Serotonin and Dopamine regulate almost everything. Such as mood, hunger, libido, cravings, addictions and sleep. A decrease in these hormones can lead to depression and anxiety as well as minor or even severe addictions. Reducing stress, anxiety and depression will also lead to an increase in energy levels throughout the day.

Pain Relief & Injury Recovery 

The float tank environment takes away approximately 80% of the gravity we usually feel in day-to-day life. This anti-gravity effect can accelerate healing in broken bones and sprained joints, relieve back and neck pain, align the spine and allow for physical rehabilitation. The float tank also allows relief from ARTHRITIS, SCOLIOSIS, and FIBROMYALGIA.

Meditation & Deep Relaxation 

Flotation tanks provide an environment free of almost all external stimuli. No light, no sound, and no feeling of physical self. This is due to the water being heated to skin temperature inside the float tank. This allows the mind to enter the THETA STATE at a much easier and faster rate (the state that occurs during deep meditation and REM sleep). In this state one is able to explore the mind and even reprogram the sub conscious to rid the self of negative habits or negative thought patterns. Some people even experience hallucinations and have “mystical experiences” in the tanks. 

Creativity & Focus 

The brains ability to reach the theta state and stay in it allows for extreme increases in creativity and focus. No external stimulus also helps declutter the brain. This makes room for more valuable thoughts and ideas and less worry on the things that are not as important. Far too often do we focus on the negative, the past or even the future.
