Transforming The Uncomfortable
Floating, Life, & Beyond
All transformation in life starts with recognition. And I mean real recognition of what is going on inside. Most of us are able to recognize uncomfortability to a certain extent, but secretly also enjoy it. This causes us to never truly move through it or past it.
So let’s begin by first identifying what the uncomfortable is.
The uncomfortable, in this context, can be described as: A feeling or energy (subtle or not) that causes a degree of disharmony within the mind, body, or spirit.
Step 1: Recognition
As we discussed above, full recognition is crucial to begin the process of transformation. We are all alchemist and have the ability to transform anything at any moment with the right awareness.
Begin by recognizing how you are feeling inside. Are you at peace? Are you at rest? Notice any subtle anxieties or painful energies pulling you away from your deep stillness within. This can be noticed in the mind, body, and spirit. Start where you are comfortable and to the degree that feels right for you.
Recognition is a wonderful morning and evening practice to incorporate into your day. It allows you to come into greater awareness and ultimately greater ownership of yourself and your life.
Step 2: Responsibility
Throughout our lives we often hear the words “take responsibility”. Unfortunately most people who use these words regularly know little of their true meaning.
Take true responsibility of how you are feeling at this moment in time. This means owning up to everything that is going on inside and moving through you. If you project your feelings and emotions onto others, this is a sign that you need to take true responsibility for how you feel.
Taking the time to deal with and come to terms with what is going on inside of you is no easy task. True responsibility takes courage and the ability to constantly dive deep on a daily and moment to moment basis.
My personal and favourite method for this is floating . Floating allows me to have deep alone time with little to no distractions. When floating we have no choice but to take responsibility. This is where the float power lies.
“Completing” these steps alone will result in huge transformation in your life but one more is needed for the full process of alchemy to take hold.
Step 3: Let Go
Letting go is something we again hear a lot of but what does it truly mean and how do we do it?
Letting go is the same as acceptance and surrender. All words hold the same energy and the same basic concept. Feel which one works for you and which one you want to take forward with you.
Why most people struggle with letting go, accepting, or surrendering, is because they haven’t actually recognized what is going on and truly taken full responsibility. Without these 2 steps, letting go can be very hard and very time consuming and very energy draining.
So if you have made it to this step you are ready and willing to fully let go of that which was once uncomfortable.
Allow that which is inside to be there.
This recognition and responsibility is acceptance. This is surrender.
This energy now has no power or control over you.
There is no trying or forcing it to leave.
It is simply allowed to be.
It is allowed to come.
It is allowed to go.
You are now fully aware of it.
Be in your authentic nature today.
Rediscover in every moment the power you truly have.
Live fully and always with kindness for those around you.
